Submitting Coins to NGC for Certification
If you are a full-time professional dealer, please complete an application to join our submission network. If you’re already an NGC authorized dealer, you may log in to the NGC dealer portal.
As a collector, there are several ways to submit coins to NGC for grading. To submit coins directly to NGC, you must either have a Collectors Society account or be an ANA member and create an affiliate submission account. Instructions for both are below, along with a link to information on grading costs and our services offered.
Submissions are accepted in the following ways:
- Using your Collectors Society account
An annual subscription to the Collectors Society gives you complete direct submission privileges to the independent members of the Certified Collectibles Group, including:
- Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC)
- Numismatic Conservation Services (NCS)
- Paper Money Guaranty (PMG)
- Using an ANA Affiliate account
If you are a member of the American Numismatic Association (ANA) just go to the ANA members page and fill out the ANA / NGC Submission Network Application (you will need to provide us with your ANA membership number). This is a great option if you’re an experienced collector and familiar with submission procedures.
- Submitting through an NGC authorized dealer
If you do not desire to create your own account, you may submit through an NGC member dealer. This is often your best option if you are looking to have coins graded just once, or if you are just getting started as a collector and require additional guidance. To find a member dealer go to www.ngccoin.com and look under "Authorized Dealer." Dealers are authorized to submit coins for grading on your behalf using their own account.
The cost to submit a coin can vary from $12.50 to $125 dollars or more. It depends on the value of the coin, the quantity and how quickly you want it graded. A price list can be found at www.ngccoin.com under “Coin Grading Services.”
